A little background on Runcorn

Runcorn is an industrial town and cargo port on the southern bank of the River Mersey, just south of Widnes. Runcorn was a small village until the Industrial Revolution when it grew thanks to the developing industries nearby.

Now home to many commercial enterprises, Runcorn is situated to the south side of three bridges which are local landmarks between Cheshire and Merseyside over the River Mersey.
